Seamless, waterproof, mineral
Microcement for the wall, Lavasteen Seamless Floor for the floor. One continuous surface from floor to ceiling — no joints that expand or become soiled. Waterproof through PU topcoat (wall) and epoxy mass (floor).
Hard-working floor, calm aesthetic
In the kitchen, the floor works hardest: splashes, crumbs, sliding chairs. Microcement on the backsplash, Lavasteen Seamless Floor on the floor — for both open-plan kitchen-diners and heavily used commercial kitchens.
Which material suits which room
Microcement: the wall all-rounder
Microcement is a thin mineral wall finish (1–2 mm) with a matte concrete look. Suitable for walls in any room — from bathroom ceilings to feature walls in the living room. In wet areas, the finish receives two to three coats of PU topcoat as standard, making it fully waterproof. Microcement can also be used as a floor finish, but in heavily trafficked or wet spaces it is less suitable than a resin floor.
Lavasteen Seamless Floor: for the floor
Lavasteen Seamless Floor is a seamless epoxy floor with ground lava stone incorporated. Suitable for floors in any space, from walk-in shower to living room and showroom. The epoxy mass is independently waterproof — even if the top layer is damaged, the floor remains sealed. The natural granular structure gives the floor a subtle texture that feels slip-resistant, even when wet.
The combination: one mineral interior
The strongest impression arises when combining: microcement walls plus a Lavasteen Seamless Floor in the same colour family. The surface runs visually uninterrupted, only the texture differs subtly between wall (smooth-trowelled) and floor (granular). Especially in bathrooms, shower rooms and open-plan kitchens, this combination works powerfully — the eye rests, the space feels larger and calmer.
Different advice per room
Not every room requires the same approach. In a bathroom, waterproofing is paramount; in a kitchen, wear resistance; in a living room, acoustics and aesthetic. That is why we work per room: recommended materials, build-up and colour choice are tailored to daily use and the natural light on site.
