What is Lavasteen Seamless Floor microcement?
Lavasteen Seamless Floor is a 2-component system based on microcement and epoxy. It consists of an A-component with pigment and a B-component (hardener). After mixing, a robust, trowelable paste is formed.
You pour the mass and distribute it manually. This way, you retain control over texture and nuance.
A traditional epoxy resin floor flows completely and is less suitable for residential properties or underfloor heating. Lavasteen Seamless Floor offers control, comfort and durability.
Installing Lavasteen Seamless Floor yourself
With our DIY kits and the clear installation guide, you work step by step towards a professional result. Follow the core steps:
- Prepare the substrate – stable, clean and level; use primer where necessary. Working over tiles? Degrease → coarse primer → fill and level joints with Stucopaste → completely level.
- Mixing – stir A-component until homogeneous; add B-component and mix for 2–3 minutes.
- Layer 1 – apply thinly and tightly; remove tape; allow to dry for at least 24 hours.
- Layer 2 – choose smooth and even or subtly lively; optionally lightly mist and distribute the "slip layer" with a flexible trowel.
- Curing & sanding – approx. 24 hours curing; longer sanding (grit 80) provides greater evenness.
- PU topcoat (matt) – prevents yellowing, increases protection and fills the texture. A second PU layer provides additional smoothness.

What is Lavasteen Seamless Floor Graphite?

Is Graphite suitable for hospitality and living rooms?
Absolutely. The lava stone reinforcement makes the finish highly scratch- and wear-resistant and fully waterproof. The appearance remains consistent, even with intensive use.
Can I apply it over existing tiles?
Yes, provided it is stable. Follow: degrease → primer → seal joints with Stucopaste → completely level. This prevents loose spots and ensures a strong base.
What lead time should I allow?
Allow approximately 24 hours drying/curing per layer. After that, you can apply light loads. More intensive use and wet cleaning only after the topcoat, according to the instructions.
Can you repair localised damage?
Often yes: clean, lightly sand and touch up the topcoat. Larger areas can be locally reapplied and refinished. This maintains the overall appearance.
Can Graphite be applied outdoors?
Only with a UV-resistant topcoat. Epoxy can discolour in sunlight. The matte PU topcoat with UV protection limits this effect. In short: outdoor use is possible with the right protection.
