Description

Warm Grey 1 – Microcement in Light Warm Grey

Grey with warmth – soft and inviting

Grey that doesn't feel cold

Warm Grey 1 is our lightest warm grey shade. This is grey as it should be: not cold and stark, but warm and inviting. Thanks to its soft, warm undertones, it never feels sterile. Think light grey with a hint of beige/taupe as seen in high-end interiors.

The colour brings calm and neutrality with character. That's why WG1 is ideal as a base in spaces with a friendly, timeless feel. The shade combines easily.

Styling tip: Pair WG1 with oak or ash, off-white and linen. Subtle brass adds hotel allure.

Why Warm Grey 1 works

  • Light warm grey – not cold, yet characterful; versatile.
  • Soft undertones – instantly inviting and natural.
  • Neutral & warm – best of both worlds; timeless.
  • Suits anywhere – combines with any style.
  • Waterproof when sealed – seamless and hygienic; suitable for bathrooms.
  • Underfloor heating – microcement is thin and seamless; heat felt quickly and evenly.
  • Easy maintenance – light base looks fresh; simple to keep clean.
  • No demolition – can be applied over existing floors or tiles.

Where it belongs

Warm Grey 1 is for those seeking warm grey tones. It works anywhere you want calm without the cool, sterile feel of standard grey. Suitable for both modern and classic interiors.

Colour Combinations & Materials

  • Warm & homely – light wood, wool/linen, sand tones; softens and warms WG1.
  • Fresh & light – off-white, travertine, limewash; makes small spaces appear larger.
  • Modern accent – black steel, smoked glass, soft-black fittings; graphic without becoming cold.

Light & use

  • Small spaces – WG1 as base colour with indirect lighting keeps it airy.
  • High-traffic zones – warm undertone is forgiving in daily use.
  • Daylight – south/west light emphasises the warmth; north light keeps WG1 clean and modern.

Where it fits perfectly

  • Offices – professional but not cold.
  • Modern living rooms – grey, yet cosy.
  • Bedrooms – calming and warm.
  • Kitchens – neutral base with warmth.

Frequently asked questions about Warm Grey 1 microcement

Is Warm Grey 1 suitable for kitchens and splashbacks?
Yes. Microcement is water-repellent and easy to clean after the correct sealer. Use chopping boards and trivets; avoid aggressive degreasers.
Which sheen suits Warm Grey 1: matte or satin?
Matte looks calm and natural; satin shows marks more readily. That's why we supply a matte PU topcoat as standard.
Is the light warm shade prone to staining?
With PU topcoat, WG1 is well protected. Wipe spills promptly and use mild, pH-neutral cleaners.
Can Warm Grey 1 be used on stairs or heavily trafficked floors?
Yes. Microcement is strong and seamless. Anti-slip can be added to the sealer if required.
Can Microcement in Warm Grey 1 be applied over existing tiles?
Due to the minimal layer thickness (approx. 1–2 mm), microcement can be applied over tiles after preparation. Prepare tiles with Stucopaste for a level base.
What do you recommend for a shower floor?
Microcement with PU topcoat is ideal for walls and floors in bathrooms. For shower floors we often recommend Lavasteen Seamless Floor as an alternative. Also read: Lavasteen shower floor.
