Apply it yourself with ease

You don't need to be a professional for a flawless result. Our installation guide leads you step by step. In summary:

1. Preparation – substrate must be stable, clean and level; use primer where necessary.
2. Mixing – stir component A until homogeneous; add component B and mix for 2–3 minutes until a uniform paste is achieved.
3. Layer 1 – apply thinly and tightly with the trowel; remove tape; allow to dry for at least 24 hours.
4. Layer 2 – choose smooth or with movement; lightly mist and distribute the "slip coat" with a flexible trowel for extra nuance.
5. Curing & sanding – approx. 24 hours curing time; sand with grit 80 (short = anti-slip, longer = smoother).
6. PU topcoat – protects against yellowing and simplifies maintenance; can be applied in multiple layers if desired.

Comparison with other finishes

• Lavasteen Seamless Floor (Hill Flower) – hand-trowelled; matte concrete look; very hard, scratch-resistant and waterproof; ideal for floor & wall; suitable for homes, new builds and underfloor heating.
• Epoxy resin floor – fully self-levelling and industrially smooth; less suitable for residential/new-build/underfloor heating.
• PU poured floor – elastic and comfortable; works well with underfloor heating, but less hard/scratch-resistant than Lavasteen Seamless Floor.
• Traditional Beton Ciré / microcement – cement-based; only waterproof with additional PU layer; less wear-resistant.
