What is a Lavasteen Seamless Floor?
Lavasteen Seamless Floor is a 2-component system based on concrete stucco and epoxy for floor and wall. It consists of a Component A (base mass with pigment) and a Component B (epoxy hardener).
After mixing, a firm, spreadable paste is created. You pour the material onto the substrate and distribute it manually with a trowel. This way you maintain control over texture, nuance and movement in the concrete look.
In contrast to a classic epoxy resin floor — which flows out completely — Lavasteen Seamless Floor offers more grip and variation. More inspiration? Read Lavasteen Seamless Floor walls.
Applications & Substrates
- Residential: floors and walls in living room, kitchen, bathroom and shower; also stairs and bespoke furniture.
- Commercial: shops, hospitality and offices – high wear resistance and quick to clean.
- New build & renovation: sleek, seamless and low-maintenance.
- Adheres to: concrete, cement, tiles (with primer), plaster, wood and MDF.
Easy to realise yourself – steps
- Check the substrate for stability; use primer if necessary for adhesion.
- Mix the A-component homogeneously. Add the B-component and mix for 2–3 minutes.
- Apply the first layer thinly and evenly with a trowel. Remove tape.
- Allow to dry for at least 24 hours; check the flatness.
- Apply the second layer: calm for sleek, or with more movement for liveliness. This is how you control the character.
- Allow to cure again (approx. 24 hours). Sand with grit 80: briefly for anti-slip, longer for a smoother effect.
- Finish with a PU topcoat to prevent yellowing and for extra protection.

- Traditional Beton Ciré / microcement – cement-based; less wear-resistant and only waterproof with additional PU layer.

- PU poured floor – elastic and residential-friendly; but less hard and scratch-resistant than Lavasteen Seamless Floor.
Frequently asked questions about Lavasteen Seamless Floor Morning Dew
What is Lavasteen floor & wall exactly?
Lavasteen Seamless Floor is a 2-component concrete stucco with epoxy. You pour the material and spread it manually with a trowel. This creates a seamless, strong concrete look for floor and wall.
Is Lavasteen floor suitable for bathrooms and showers?
Yes. The system is fully waterproof and suitable as a shower floor and wall. Even with localised topcoat damage, the underlying epoxy structure remains waterproof.
Can Lavasteen Seamless Floor be applied over existing tiles?
Yes, provided the substrate is stable. Use primer and level the joints and the entire tile surface with Stucopaste for a smooth result.
Does Lavasteen Seamless Floor work well with underfloor heating?
Certainly. The slim build-up and dense matrix ensure excellent heat transfer — comfortable and energy-efficient.
What is the difference with epoxy and PU poured floors?
An epoxy poured floor flows out completely and is not suitable for residential properties or underfloor heating. PU is elastic and comfortable, but less hard and scratch-resistant. Lavasteen Seamless Floor combines residential comfort with high scratch resistance and waterproofing.
How do I maintain a Morning Dew finish?
Vacuuming and mopping with a mild detergent is sufficient. Avoid abrasive or aggressive products; stains are easily removed thanks to the dense structure.
