Description

Warm Grey 2 – Microcement in Warm Grey

A bit more character, yet still warm

Grey with more punch

Warm Grey 2 has just a bit more colour and depth than Warm Grey 1. It remains a warm, inviting grey tone with extra personality. Exactly right for those who don't want too light, but do seek a calm base.

WG2 feels homely and modern at the same time. The warm undertones prevent the cold feeling that can arise with standard grey. This makes the space look representative without becoming cool.

Styling tip: combine WG2 with light wood species (oak/ash), soft white and sand tones. A brass accent adds a touch of boutique hotel.

Why Warm Grey 2 works well

  • Warm grey with punch – more character than WG1; livelier.
  • Inviting warmth – no cool grey; homely.
  • Hides marks – practical and easy to maintain.
  • Neutral & warm – best of both worlds; versatile.
  • Waterproof after finishing – seamless result; suitable for wet rooms.
  • Underfloor heating – microcement is thin and seamless; heat felt quickly and evenly.
  • Easy to combine – suits many styles.
  • No fuss – over existing substrate; time-saving.

Where you'll see it

Warm Grey 2 is found in modern homes, contemporary offices and showrooms where calm and warmth come together. The shade is neutral enough for large surfaces and warm enough not to become clinical.

Colour Combinations & Materials

  • Warm base – oak/ash, wool/linen, earth tones; emphasises the friendly side of WG2.
  • Fresh & light – off-white, sand, travertine; makes spaces optically larger.
  • Modern edge – black steel, smoked glass, soft black fittings; graphic, but not cold thanks to WG2.

Light & use

  • Small spaces – WG2 is light enough as a base; indirect light adds extra softness.
  • Busy spaces – the warmth masks small marks; ideal for living rooms and kitchens.
  • Daylight – south/west light warms WG2 up; north light keeps it clean and calm.

Where it works well

  • Modern interiors – grey, but clearly warm.
  • Office spaces – professional and inviting.
  • Living rooms – neutral and cosy.
  • Showrooms – products come into their own calmly.
  • Hotel rooms – calm, but not bare.

The facts

  • Colour: warm grey – grey tone with warm undertones.

Comparison within warm grey

WG2 is warmer and more expressive than WG1, but clearly lighter than WG3/4. Looking for a friendly, versatile base that doesn't look cool? Then WG2 is often exactly right.

Does Warm Grey 2 work well with underfloor heating?

Yes. Microcement is thin and seamless. This means the warmth from underfloor heating is felt quickly and evenly.
